The Israel Sinfonietta Orchestra Be'er Sheva was founded in 1973 and since then (the 53rd season) the orchestra continues to be the leading cultural institution in the musical field throughout the southern region.
As of the 2025/26 concert season, Maestro Constantine Orbelian serves as the orchestra's musical director.
Over the past five decades, the orchestra has consistently and faithfully served the music lover community in Be'er Sheva and the Negev. Alongside its performances on all concert stages in Israel, the orchestra broke through the boundaries of its surroundings and became an artistic body with a reputation in Israel and abroad.
The orchestra has a variety of concert series in Be'er Sheva and throughout the country, concert series of classical music, light music, Hebrew music, operas, music from movies and a wide range of concerts for early childhood, elementary and high school students, and students at Ben-Gurion University and colleges in the Negev.
The orchestra's CEO since the 52nd season is Yair Nagid.
